The SMCC Arts and Sciences and Teaching Education Department envision fully integrated, technologically and scientifically equipped and socially responsible graduates.

MISSION

As such, the Arts and Sciences and Teaching Education Departments are committed to provide the students with holistic and quality instruction materials and competent level of teaching strategies, in order to:

  • Produce graduates who are God-fearing, who live and practice their faith, the moral norms and Christian virtues;

  • Equip graduates with the necessary technological skills and scientific knowledge making them globally qualified and competitive; and
  • Prepare graduates to be responsive to the needs and demands of the social milieu of which they are so much a part.

PHILOSOPHY

The SMCC Arts and Sciences and Teaching Education Departments adhere to the philosophy that learning is the basic tool and the backbone of human resource development. Thus, every student must be afforded with all the possible opportunities in order to fully develop her/his potentials and/or capabilities .
