The SMCC Technical Programs Department envisions Technical Programs that are truly cognizant of and responsive to the students' needs to be optimally educated in the practical and technological fields making them ready to meet the global demands and/or challenges.

MISSION

As such, the SMCC Technical Programs Department is committed to:

• Offer technical Courses that cater to the needs of the students in their chosen fields and to the needs/demands of the global market; and

• Integrally and/or exhaustively educate, train and/or form the students in their chosen courses/fields, making them globally competent and competitive.

OBJECTIVES

1. To design and implement strategies that promote an environment that is conducive to fast learning and enhance easy access to the desired knowledge.

2. To update regularly the facilities and teaching-learning strategies and/or techniques.

3. To instill in the students the moral and Christian values as well as the professional ethics to mold them to be upright and noble men and women and professionals.

4. To guide students grow in their interest and appreciation of their chosen field through relevant and updated theories and practical works.

5. To have the teachers and/or teaching-learning practitioners of the Technical Courses regularly undergo trainings to update their knowledge and skills and to maintain their professional competence.
