Saint Michael College of Caraga, on its commitment to provide academic excellence through integral human development designed a program enhancing the key major areas that promotes development.

Perfect eye vision is 2020 thus, the SMCC's Vision 2020 aims to provide the best educational training within the Caraga region by having a more concrete plans that caters and meet the demands of today and beyond.

Magbayanihan Tayo is the flagship program of SMCC's Vision 2020.

Why Magbayanihan Tayo?

Bayanihan - comes form the distinctly Filipino tradition of helping the course of daily lives, mutual aid, cooperative endeavor, and community development.

SMCC's Planning and Development Center takes further step by integrating on its plan the Filipino tradition of "Bayanihan" into practice among the Michaelinian family.

Magbayanihan Tayo captures the spirit of cooperation and partnership among different groups / organizations of the institution. A challenge that intakes unity and cooperation of the Michaelinian family.

Magbayanihan Tayo as the flagship program of SMCC's Vision 2020 is a long range plan that was started last October 2001 up to October 2020. There are 7 key areas to wit. Physical Plant, Personnel, Library, Laboratories, Community Involvement, Research and Accreditation.

Magbayanihan Tayo Logo is an open hand that captures the sun or "araw". The open hand are the Michaelinians whose dedication and commitment is to help the key factor on the realization of SMCC's Vision 2020.

The sun in classical symbolism is an attribute of lovely maiden truth because all is revealed by light, truth is the virtuous daughter of time. The sun is the symbol of SMCC's brighter future.

The Magbayanihan Tayo is a program designed and developed by the men and women of SMCC's Planning and Development Center together with the partnership of the School Administration, Parents-Teachers Association, Campus Organizations, and Alumni Association.

The spirit of being one is the key factor to the institutional development.

Magbayanihan Tayo Programs

The Magbayanihan Tayo Program aims to develop:

Key Area 1: Personnel - hiring of qualified personnel with fair and descent salaries and privileges.

Key Area 2: Physical Plant - Construction of additional buildings (Annex A and Annex B). Retaining Wall along the cliff. Acquisition of furniture and fixtures, Rehabilitation of the main building. Additional construction of offices (Guidance, Registrar, SSC, Administration). Construction of Center for Human Kinetics, students' area, Campus Ministry, PMT, comfort rooms and lavatories. Installation of fire exits and equipments.

Key Area 3: Library - Acquisition of library holdings. Installation of Electronic Library. Intensifying the "Donate a Book Program".

Key Area 4: Instruction and Curriculum - Sending teachers for graduate studies on thier field of specialization, attending seminars and workshops. Acquisition of multi-media equipments. Development and Engineering of curriculum.

Key Area 5
: Laboratories - Construction of separate laboratories for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Construction of Speech Laboratory and Speech facilities. Enhancement of Computer and HRM, Electronic, Automotive and food laboratories, Construction of FM Station.

Key Area 6: Community Involvement - Intensifying community extension services, environmental awareness. Crisis intervention center, and literacy programs. Creation of SMCC's official web site.

Key Area 7: Research and Accreditation - Creation of SMCC's Research and Development Center. Application of SMCC on the different accreditation centers.
