SMCC hosts ACEA Assembly 2019

S chool administrators and teachers of the Diocese of Butuan attended the annual gathering dubbed the Agusan Catholic Education Association (ACEA) Assembly held at Saint Michael College of Caraga last November 14-15, 2019. The gathering is intended to rekindle the feeling of unity among ACEA schools.

The two-day activity hinged on the theme Enhancing the Unity among Diverse Generation Personalities on the ACEA Diocesan Schools. Adherence to the theme, Rev. Fr. Mart James Presillas, the keynote speaker talked about the Unifying Multi-Generation Personalities in the ACEA Diocesan Schools. This was followed by an open forum where teachers from different schools in the diocese joined in the discussion about managing diverse generation personalities among ACEA diocesan schools facilitated by Dr. Beverly D. Jaminal.

On a lighter side, the delegates were entertained by the TESAW Production in a cultural show. Adding highlight to were the Vocal Duet and Pop Dance contests. Everybody was agog when the candidates of Mr. & Miss. ACEA 2019 went up on stage showcasing their beauty and wits. Mr. Ray Leonard Panal and Miss Joy Soriano, both from Saint James High School, got the title.

ACEA is an association of Catholic schools and colleges run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Butuan. The annual assembly is hosted by different schools. The last time SMCC hosted the said event was in 2004.
