JS Prom: An Episode of Glitz and Glamor

F ebruary 22, 2020 was the much-anticipated evening of every high school students as the grade 10 and grade 12 promenade stunned the crowd with elegance and masculinity.

The JS Prom started with the processional march. Promenades paved the way from the stage of the municipal gym and proceeded to the center. Juniors and Seniors carry themselves with poise and grace as they exchanged lighted candles and stems of roses.

Msgr. Bienvenido Betaizar, School President, delivered a heartfelt message right after the promenade. In his message, Msgr. Ben reminded the audience candidly that every student should join and experience JS prom for them to heighten up their social skills and knowledge.

Select seniors performed the Rigodon dance, and this was followed by the juniors in a Cotillion dance.

While everybody was enjoying the sumptuous buffet dinner, a Through the Years-themed video presentation was shown displaying sundry of memorable moments.

Who reaped the top-notch award as Prom King and Queen?

Vinz Jay Talan was proclaimed Prom King. He sported a chic nude tuxedo-style jacket matched with silver pants. On the other hand, Shanice Nicole Caballes obviously captivated the crowd with her elegant yet prim demeanor and appearance with her dressy white gown and eventually hailed Prom Queen. Both Talan and Caballes are Seniors from STEM strand.

After a moment of thrilling excitement and awe, the promenades enjoyed dancing and prancing with friends under the beat of music and the glitz of lights.

Indeed, JS Promenade experience is the most splendid time in a high school life. It is a night marked with timeless memories where juniors and seniors wear princess-like gowns and suits and ties like royalties. It is when they are at their best glitz and glamour ever.
